Governor Kathleen Sebelius and Chairman Larry Gates invite you to the Kansas Democratic Party's annual Washington Days Weekend on February 29-March 1 at the Downtown Topeka Ramada. The special guest for the Friday night banquet at Washington Days 2008 is Governor Tim Kaine.

Governor Tim Kaine

Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia, who grew up in Kansas and graduated from Rockhurst High School, will return to his heartland roots when he gives the keynote speech at the Washington Days Banquet on Friday, Feb. 29 in Topeka. Governor Kaine’s parents still live in Overland Park, Kansas.

Governor Kaine won a stunning come-from-behind victory in 2005 when he reached across party lines to garner a bi-partisan 52-46% victory.

Since taking office, Governor Kaine has been a champion of excellence in education, health care reform, and improved transportation infrastructure for Virginia.
