Failure to lead a disservice to her constituents

TOPEKA - Last week, Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins told a Topeka crowd that she hasn’t shared her healthcare plan because she’s never received an invitation. Following her announcement the Kansas Democratic Party launched a petition inviting her to release the details of her secret plan to fix health care.

Today, Kansas Democratic Party Executive Director Kenny Johnston reiterated his invitation to Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins:

“In times of crisis you can lead, follow, or get out of the way. Being a leader requires Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins to share her plan with her colleagues and the people of Kansas. Instead she has opted to follow the will of her special interest allies and do nothing to correct the misinformation and confusion they have generated.

Lynn Jenkins, a self-proclaimed “member of ‘the Party of No’” should either make public her secret plan or respectfully, get out of the way. Everyday she fails to provide leadership on this critical issue another 70 Kansans lose their health insurance coverage.”
