UPDATE: CommunityCorps Reception at Washington Days

Congresswoman Nancy Boyda and Congressman Dennis Moore are hosting a CommunityCorps reception at the KDP's annual Washington Days weekend. The reception, open only to Kansas Democrats who have taken the CommunityCorps pledge, starts at 8:00pm on Friday February 29th, at the Downtown Topeka Ramada.

What is CommunityCorps?

In 2008 and beyond, elections in Kansas will hinge upon our ability to talk directly with voters. As Democrats in Kansas, it is vital that we have a dialogue with voters in order to continue providing common sense solutions. The single best way to have this conversation is to simply knock on your neighbor's door.

CommunityCorps will be an integral part of our strategy to pick up seats in the Kansas House and Senate, re-elect Congresswoman Boyda and Congressman Moore, defeat Sen. Pat Roberts, elect Democrats to serve in our county courthouses and ultimately send a Democrat to the White House.

We're asking every Kansas Democrat to join CommunityCorps and commit to contacting 25 voters at least three times before the 2008 election. We're also asking you to find two friends to do the same.
