Congressman Dennis Kucinich

The oldest of seven children, Dennis was born in Cleveland, Ohio. The family lived in 21 places, including a couple of cars, by the time he was 17 years-old.

He attended Case Western University and after graduation began his political career in city government, becoming mayor in 1977.

After being in the political wilderness for a policy that ultimately proved to be right, he was elected to the Ohio Senate and since 1996 has been in the House of Representatives.

For his tireless efforts for peace, he was awarded the Ghandi Peace Award in 2003.

Dennis Kucinich is the only candidate with a real investment plan to pay for America going green.Dennis is also the only presidential candidate whose plan does not keep our health care in the grip of insurance companies that profit from denying us care we need.Because everything superficial aside, Dennis Kucinich is the only person with a policy of true peace and prosperity.Lyle Mcclanahan, Wichita

I support Representative Kucinich because he is a quick thinker--speaks without hesitating. He has been supportive of the issues that I believe in. There are many wonderful people running for office. He has not been given much attention by the media but I believe he would be the best person for the job. Jeanne Chapp, Shawnee

I support Representative Kucinich because he stands for everything I believe can be accomplished for America. He has a peaceful approach to changing the world, and that is why I think he's the most important candidate running. Also, his record of votes aligns perfectly with my beliefs and what I want for this country as well. Kathy Elbert, Overland Park
