KANSAS DEMOCRATIC LGBT CAUCUS TO MEET IN MANHATTAN

The Kansas Democratic LGBT Caucus will hold a general membership meeting on Saturday, July 30th, 2005, in Manhattan, KS. The meeting will be at the First Congregational UCC, 700 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan KS, from 10 AM until 3 PM. A working lunch is planned. Directions: From I-70 going west (from Topeka) Take Exit 313 into Manhattan. Go N. on 177 about 8 miles into town. After crossing the bridge, go to the stop sign on 4th St. (do not exit on the ramp). Turn Right and go 1 block to the light (Poyntz Ave). Turn left and go 3 blocks. FCC is on the right corner of Poyntz and Juliette (7th). From I-70 going East (from Junction City) Take Exit 303 (Clark's Creek Rd) that bypasses Ogden and takes you onto K113. Go about 7 miles into Manhattan and this turns into Ft. Riley Blvd. Keep on the main highway to the light at Julliette (7th) and Ft. Riley Blvd. Turn Left. Go about 5-6 blocks to Poyntz Ave. FCC will be in front of you on the NW corner of Julliette and Poyntz. The agenda will include, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Officer's reports 2. Membership Report 3. Review of the Caucus Bylaws, including Mission and Goal statements 4. Strategic Planning Session: How to Make the Caucus Stronger The Strategic Planning Session will be the major part of the meeting. The time will be used to make plans for moving forward with the goals of the Caucus and for making the Caucus a more powerful force within the Kansas Democratic Party. The meeting is open to any LGBT or Allied Kansas Democrat. However, per our Bylaws, only current, paid members will be able to vote at this meeting.
