In case you missed it

Last Friday a bit of drama unfolded in Johnson County concerning the Kelsey Smith murder case. Apparently, the inept Phill Kline is at it again:

District Judge Peter Ruddick told District Attorney Phill Kline and his deputy that they needed to step up and do better, and ensure that all evidence is disclosed to attorneys defending Edwin Hall.

The judge warned that even technical missteps can have a profound impact on the outcome of a case.

"Now come on you guys. You have a responsibility here, not only to your case but to the state of Kansas," Ruddick said, in a tone that rose as he spoke. "And I want you to start living up to it."

Given that Phill didn't give this case to the feds to prosecute because he wanted to spend some more time in front of the cameras, we all know Kline isn't too concerned with his elected responsibilities. Heck he wasn't even elected!

Thanks Phil Kline...

for once again putting politics before justice and reminding all of us here in Kansas why we unelected you for Attorney General. I imagine that there are some Republicans out there who, when the Paul Morrison sexual harrasment scandal hit, were saying that if Kansans had known about Morrison's "indiscretions", Kline would have gotten re-elected. I seem to remember that there were rumblings in the press about Morrison's habits when it came to underlings and he still beat Kline by almost 20 points. This wasn't because Morrison was cute. It wasn't because he was nice. It was a repudiation by the people of Kansas to the politicization and incompetence displayed by Phill Kline. Screw you and your right-wing nuttery Phill. You screw this case up, you're gonna be looking for work again. Sometimes I feel like Jurgis Rudkus...
