About

Pam was born in Wichita, Kansas and has lived in Sedgwick County for most of her life. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and currently has a private practice in Haysville providing family, individual, couple’s and grief counseling.

While growing up in South Wichita, she attended Haysville Public Schools and in 1987 made the move to Haysville. Her father and mother, John & Shirley Hanafin, both spent most of their careers in the aircraft industry. In 1989 her parents started a small resale store in Haysville offering home furnishings and antiques. Her father passed away in 1995, but her mother continues to run the business.

After graduating from Wichita State University, Pam began her career in social work as the Social Services Director of a long term care facility in Haysville. The next step in her career was with Lutheran Social Services. There she served as a Permanency Planning Specialist, supervising and promoting the well being of children in foster care and providing adoption services.

Pam completed her Master’s Degree at Newman University and then worked six years in the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) program; a grant funded program providing family therapy with high risk teenagers and their families.
She is involved in numerous civic and business organizations including the National Association of Women Business Owners, the American Business Women’s Association, the Haysville Chamber of Commerce, the Sedgwick County Federation of Women’s Democratic Clubs and the Haysville Drug Free Coalition.

Pam is married and has four children and four grandchildren. Her husband, Tim, is an attorney with the State of Kansas. Their oldest son Zach has two children and works at Cessna Aircraft. Andrea, the only daughter, is 26 and has two children. Their middle son Austin worked as an auto mechanic at Scholfied Honda before passing away at age 20 in a motorcycle accident in 2005. Their youngest, Dal is a college student and works at Cessna.
