Dave Inskeep has been an active resident of Hutchinson, KS, since moving here from the Kansas City area in 1985. Born and raised in rural central Missouri, Dave enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in August of 1965. The USCG took him throughout the Great Lakes area while on active duty. Dave met his wife, Jeanne, while stationed at Chicago Harbor.

In 1969, Dave and Jeanne moved to the Kansas City area. Dave earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1971 and went on to complete 200+ hours of post-graduate work in banking and finance.

Dave began his career in banking in 1971. This was a busy time for Dave and Jeanne as their first child, Jennifer, was born in 1973 followed closely by their second child, David, born in 1975. Dave enjoyed his banking career while also teaching banking and finance at Rockhurst College, William Jewell College & the American Institute of Banking.

In 1985, Dave had the opportunity for a new banking position and the family decided to move to Hutchinson, Kansas. He continued his military career in the US Coast Guard Reserve and retired in 2003 as a Lieutenant Commander after 37 years of service. Dave has continued his career in the commercial lending area and is presently with First Bank of Sterling, running a commercial loan production office at 2500 N. Main, in Hutchinson.

Dave and his wife, Jeanne, are proud to have recently celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. Their daughter, Jennifer, and her husband Shawn, reside in Lenexa, while son David and his wife, Michelle, reside in Hutchinson. Dave and Jeanne also enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, Brittany (age 12), Chloe (age 3), and Jack (born in January 2008).

Dave has always recognized the importance of giving back to the community through volunteer work and public service. He is presently serving as a member of the Kansas State Highway Advisory Commission, as Treasurer of the Reno County Chapter of the American Red Cross, on the Economic Restructuring Committee of Downtown Hutchinson Revitalization Partnership, and on the Finance Committee of Training and Evaluation Center of Hutchinson (TECH).

Additionally, Dave is currently in his third year as an adjunct instructor in the Hutchinson Community College Entrepreneurship Program. Dave has been a member of the Small Business Council, Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce for 21 years.
