Free Speech Policy

The Kansas Democratic Party is committed to building an online community of Kansans who believe in putting Democratic principles into action. One of those principles is free speech. Anyone who creates a login with the site is entitled to post forums and comments that express their thoughts, opinions, observations and beliefs.

We think it is important that comments are not censored because they advocate positions different from stated Democratic Party principles. The KDP believes that allowing these comments creates a free speech discussion that will stimulate thinking and activism among our web site members. To ensure the KDP web site is a community of ideas and integrity we reserve the right to remove factually incorrect, libelous, racist, sexist, bigoted, or violent postings.

What do you think? We want to have the most open web forums possible, but realize we may need to impose some regulations and standards as the web forums begin to pick up activity. In addition, we realize there may be ways to make the forums grow by moderating the comments and posing new themes.

Please give us your feedback and help us make ksdp.org the the best tool for online communication and information possible for Democrats across the state.
