MANHATTAN MERCURY: “LT. GOV DAVID TOLAND TALKS ABOUT MEDICAID, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, INFRASTRUCTURE”
Manhattan Mercury: “Lt. Gov David Toland said Thursday that reelecting Gov. Laura Kelly will keep Kansas on track and stop the state from reversing back to the Sam Brownback days.”
Topeka, KS – Lieutenant Governor and Commerce Secretary David Toland visited Manhattan Thursday to discuss the upcoming election, his and Governor Kelly’s accomplishments throughout their first time, and the danger of returning to the Brownback era under Derek Schmidt and his dangerous policies. Lieutenant Governor Toland discussed what he and Governor Kelly inherited, including: “broke, underfunded schools, crumbling roads and bridges and a stagnant economy with very little going on” thanks to Brownback and Schmidt.
Lieutenant Governor Toland was joined by Senator Tom Hawk, Representative Sydney Carlin, Manhattan firefighter Tim Davenport, and nurse Terry Siek to warn Kansas of a return to the dangerous Brownback era policies Kansas has just worked so hard to recover from these last four years, and the need to re-elect he and Governor Laura Kelly this November.
